Last week, I was planning to go to a thrift store to spend an extra 20 bucks I had on hand (not knowing exactly what I wanted in particular, maybe some clothes or something). I went on Friday, and first off I went to the clothes section but I couldn't really find anything good (exept a pair of really NICE American Eagle jeans for $7, which BTW I don't know why I didn't buy; going off-topic) so I went to the back in hopes of finding something. I didnt even know they had records there (I think you know where this is going); there was a huge shelf of record albums, plus boxes of albums beneath and all around it. The FIRST box I look thru had something amazing in it-I didn't even pay attention to it at first, but I pulled it out and it was the sleeve for INVISIBLE TOUCH! I took out the record and--what? "The color of money??!" what the hell is that?! I looked thru the rest of the box and couldn't find the actual IT, just the sleeve
I KNEW it was too good to be true (to find the IT album for $1 at a thrift store)! Oh well- after looking thru hundred of records, I walk out with a Footloose soundtrack (for a dollar) and a free, empty, Invisble Touch sleeve. (I was allowed to have the sleeve for free. Aren't I obsessive?) I was PO'ed, I ALMOST finally got my #1 favourite Genesis album.
But anyway, I found IT on ebay for 6.25 including shipping, so I ordered it.
Also, I got a frame for my autographed Phil photo on Saturday at michael's, lol!

Hey. Last nite I went back to that collectibles store. This time I barely noticed a box of LPs sitting in the corner; so I looked thru them. There were all Elvis, and one Rolling Stones. So I asked the guy that works there if there were any more albums around. He took me to the same table that had the 45s under it; but the LPs were in a very small section on the other side. I looked thru them; there were a few Elvis, a Frank Sinatra (yawn...) and....3 Bruce Springsteen's?! There were Asbury Park, Born in the USA and another one that I didn't recognize. After I looked at the first 2, I decided to get Born in the USA. A week ago Bruce released a brand new CD, so I go out and get the 20-something-year-old LP. ;)

I got the reply from PHIL COLLINS!!!
Current mood: eccentric
OH MY GOSHHH I GOT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CANNOT believe it! I just got a reply today!!!!! I first looked at the envelope wondering "who is this..." then I look at the return address and I start saying "ohmigod", and I open it-inside is a REAL autographed picture of Phil on the drums-I start crying. I'm thinking "this can't be happening!!!" I had a bad day at school, I felt sick all day, and the first thing I do when I get home is turn on good ol' VH1CL. Then I discover the envelope? I still cannot believe it!! Thanks so much guys!!! =}

Howdy.. (lol)
Today my blog entry is about some vintage records I got yesterday @_@
Ok so I was at the Shore Mall yesterday, and there is this store there that had a lot of vintage stuff and collectibles and stuff (the same store I got my skeleton key necklace at). Last time I was there I found a box of old records and I looked thru them a little but I didn't really find anything I liked. But yesteday I looked thru them a little more (I looked at every side of every record there :S) and found some good ones. Well there was a Talking Heads one from 1985 and it had "Give Me Back My Name" and "Road To Nowhere" so I got that because....Talking Heads is awesome!!! :P There was also another one by Jessi Colter 1975 in really good condition that I got for the heck of it, but I really don't know who that is!!! I was kind of sad they didn't have any of my absolute favorites (Genesis, Steve Miller Band, Queen, Journey, Bruce Springsteen etc)

Hey Happy New Year! I haven't been on in a while (but hey).
I wanted to say that I love Whose Line is it Anyway (its a comedy show on ABCFM) and sadly they stopped making new episodes in 2006. But two performers on the show (Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood) started their own show based on WLIIA and they travel to different places in the US and do performances. I wanted to go see WLIIA forever but I was too young, and I couldn't go to Los Angeles (its on the other side of the country!!!).
A few days ago I went on The Colin And Brad Show's website and looked at some dates and places and I found out they are having a show in Morristown NJ on Sat April 11th 09 and another show in Lancaster PA!! (BTW I live in south Jersey). I looked up distances from my city on maps.live.com and I decided the Morristown show would be closer to me (Morristown being 2:30 hrs away and Lancaster being about 3). I didn't ask my parents about going yet. On the site the ticket prices vary from $45-$55, which I think is kind of expensive. I also hope you don't have to be at least 18 to see the show! I also want to meet Colin and Brad and get pictures with them and maybe get their autographs!!!! :-D
I will post another blog when I learn more about the show and if I'll be able to go. Adios!
